Unlike "typical" hybrid heads which are based on iron profiles, the XDS Wide Sole Hybrid heads are designed around fairway wood sizes, and this makes for terrific high launching characteristics! These gradually decrease in head size as loft is increased (where less help to get the ball in the air is usually needed). The low, rear center of gravity of this design is also complemented by the "rails" on the sole that help you power right through any rough and prevent digging. This should ultimately result in better, more solid contact with the ball. Also, the leading edge of these heads are designed to be ahead of the hosel, so you'll be able to generate more lift and have a higher launch angle!
