Thirteen months on the design table, comes to life in the Spectrum. The first ever full 3 sided wrap around soleplate design. The folks at SMT wanted a clubhead that had the most efficient transfer of power that I could get. They wanted the ball to leave the clubface as quickly and as legally as possible, and wanted it to feel and look like nothing that has ever been done before. Due to the manufacturing process, it is almost impossible to have a soleplate that covers three distinctive sides of the head. Sole, backskirt and crown. It takes on a special meaning since SMT heads are made differently than all other heads.

This unique design afforded them the luxury of both deepening the Center Of Gravity and at the same time, raising it. This gives us the best of both worlds. Amazingly solid feel at impact and a trajectory that is not too high to promote roll. The see through black color gives this head instant recognition as a winner.
