Iron Head Reamer
| This is a chucking (for use in a drill chuck) reamer, .375. This reamer is most commonly used for converting tapered iron head hosels (.355 taper is common on OEM iron shafts/hosels) to .370" parallel so that aftermarket iron shafts can be used in those heads. This reamer makes that job a piece of cake. Use a little drilling oil (sometimes called cutting oil) but make sure to clean the hosels thoroughly of the oil before installing the shafts. This reamer is also perfect for slightly enlarging an iron head hosel when the shaft/hosel fit is too tight. You don't want to sand down the shaft too much, (especially a graphite shaft) you need to ream the hosel. |
